I have illustrated 6 books since 2011.
My latest book “A New Norm” is a partnership project between Avera Behavioral Health and The Children’s Home Society of South Dakota (CHS). Written by Author Tom Roberts, it is an inspirational story intended to touch the lives of children, adolescents and even adults who suffer from depression and related mental health conditions.
My first book with Author Tom Roberts was done in 2011, it is called "The Little Lost Sock". The second book, "Return to the Farm, a Christmas Journey" was done in 2013 with some great help... my son, Zack who was seven at the time! The third book is was done in 2016, named "The Greatest Gift - The Wise Ones' Journey." My fourth book with Tom “On That One Christmas Eve, was done in 2018.
These books have helped The Children's Home Society in Sioux Falls raise over 1.3 million dollars so far for the kids at CHS. I am fortunate to have been able to be a part of this series of books. Find more info about these books at chssd.org/books.
Another illustration project I did is "The Adventures of Mochi the Dog - Finding a Forever Home." I worked with author Carla Rickert on this project. Mochi the Dog is based on the real-life dog named Mochi, the dog with the world's longest tongue as seen in the Guinness World Records® 2018 book. It was very fun to work with Carla and meet Mochi the Dog with my kids. My kids Ben and Zack also helped with their creativity on this project!
